The Deacon ministry follows the qualifications and responsibilities outlined in 1 Timothy 3.  The Deacons have many duties within church.  Such duties include, setting up and preparing the table for the administration of the Lord's Supper, visiting the sick and needy of the church, preparing necessary matters for church meetings, and if a conflict arises within the church, the Deacons assist the Pastor in easing any tensions or resolving conflict.  We currently have two deacons at Mt. Pleasant Turkey: Deacon Charles Faison (Chairman) and Deacon Allie Goodman.

The Trustees act as liaisons between the members of the church congregation and the church leaders, representing and articulating the congregation's interests.  The financial duties of the trustee board involve making sure that the church can meet its annual financial goals.  Trustees have duties related to the maintenance of the church property and ministry. They also handle feedback and concerns for congregation members.  They are responsible for opening and closing the church before and after special events. They frequently oversee events held by organizations that are renting the church.  The chairman of our Trustee ministry is Bro. Albert Chestnutt.
